Vanguard Catch — Modular Knife Display Tray

The Vanguard Catch holds four full-size folding knives flat on show side or clip side, built from a 6-part interlocking assembly of PETG-CF and TPU that goes together without glue, tape, or hardware. Designed to stack with the full Vanguard system — pair it with the Array, the Array Slim, or run multiples of the Catch on a nightstand or desk.

Dual-Material Construction

The frame and pocket walls are PETG-CF — rigid, ultra-matte, zero layer lines visible at the surface. The base is a thick solid block of TPU that grips your desk and deadens impact when you drop gear in. Both halves mechanically interlock with the four individual TPU pocket inserts, locking them permanently captive without any adhesive.

The result is a tray that doesn't rattle, doesn't slide, and doesn't scratch anything put into it.

Stackable by Design

The TPU base of one Catch seats into the top lip of another frame. Stack multiples vertically without them shifting or tipping. Compatible with the Vanguard Array and Array Slim — the system is designed to grow with your collection.

Built for High-End Folders

Pocket dimensions are sized for full-size production and semi-custom folders. CRK, Hinderer, Benchmade, Zero Tolerance — the 0.86" pocket depth accommodates most standard and premium EDC folders including those with oversized flipper tabs and wide profiles.

Each colorway is a small-batch production run. When a specific color pairing is depleted it may not return.

• Ember — Amber inserts / Black CF frame / Black TPU base. Warm contrast against matte black.

FAQ

Will my knife fit? The pockets are 5.94" long, 2.05" wide, and 0.86" deep — sized for most full-size production folders. If you're running something particularly wide or thick, feel free to send the specs and I can confirm fit before you order.

Can I stack these with the Vanguard Array? Yes. The Catch is designed to stack with the Array, Array Slim, and other Catch units. The TPU base seats into the frame lip of the tray below it.

Do the inserts stay in place? The TPU inserts interlock mechanically with both the base and the frame when assembled. They're captive — they won't shift or peel loose over time.

Can I swap insert colors later? Not with the current assembly — once the frame locks over the base the inserts are captive. Colorway choice is permanent, so pick the one that fits your setup.
