The Vanguard Array holds 8 full-size folding knives spine-up in individual TPU-lined slots. Same footprint as the Vanguard Catch — so they stack directly, mix freely, and grow into whatever the collection needs.

PETG Carbon Fiber Composite Construction

The Array body is a single piece of PETG carbon fiber composite — rigid, ultra-matte, no visible layer lines at the surface. It doesn't flex, doesn't creak, and doesn't look like something off a hobby printer. The TPU slot inserts friction-fit into each pocket and keep knives from contacting the hard shell directly.

Soft TPU Knife Slots

Each of the 8 slots is lined with soft TPU. Knives sit spine-down against a surface that won't scratch scales, mar titanium, or leave marks on stonewashed finishes. Drop your carry in at the end of the day without thinking about it.

Stackable Across the Full Vanguard System

The Array shares its footprint with the Vanguard Catch — 9.92" × 6.73" across the board. Stack an Array under a Catch, run two Arrays, or build whatever configuration fits the desk. They seat securely and don't shift.

Built for High-End Folders

Slots are sized for full-size production and custom folders. Each pocket is 6.14" long and 0.99" wide, with 1.89" of clearance above the spine — enough for most standard and oversized folders including those with tall flippers, deep finger grooves, or prominent pocket clips. CRK, Hinderer, Microtech, Zero Tolerance — if it fits in your hand it likely fits in the Array.

The Vanguard Shield (Optional)

The Array is available with the Vanguard Shield — a fitted carbon fiber composite lid with the MATERIUM logo debossed in matching TPU color. Keeps dust off, looks intentional, and doubles as a display surface when removed. Add it at checkout.

Will my knife fit? Each slot is 6.14" long and 0.99" wide with 1.89" of clearance above the spine. Most full-size production folders fit comfortably. If you're running something unusually wide or tall, send me the specs and I can confirm before you order.

Does this stack with the Vanguard Catch? Yes. The Array and Catch share the same footprint and are designed to stack in any configuration, top or bottom.

What's included? One Vanguard Array with 8 TPU slot inserts. The Vanguard Shield lid is an optional add-on available at checkout. Any knives shown are for demonstration purposes only and NOT included.
